About us
Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) is one of six operational units within Risk Management Services (RMS).
The Department's mandate is to "support the University's mission through services, partnership, guidance and education to promote health, safety, protection of the environment, and regulatory compliance."
As a service department, we offer:
- numerous training and education opportunities for faculty, staff and students
- timely and expert advice on all aspects of environment, health & safety
- the most current and comprehensive information from provincial and federal regulatory agencies
- consulting services on best practices and information on all University health, safety & environmental requirements
Rob Munro is the Director of Environment, Health & Safety.

Ergonomics Self Assessment
Having issues with your workstation? EHS is here to help! An on-line ergonomic self assessment is now available. This assessment will guide you through your workstation, and give you tips on how to correct any issues you may have. Click on the link to take the self assessment!
Chemical Safety Course now on-line!
This course provides information on the safe use, handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals from University teaching and research laboratories.
